 The conference is primarily geared for four groups of people:
1. Elders and evangelists
2. Full time youth ministers
3. Parents with children of all ages
4. Volunteer youth leaders
There is no track for teenagers at the conference.

How much does the conference cost? |

Registration
$ 150 per person (with a separate purchase of 2 night hotel stay)
$ 160 per person (with a separate purchase of 1 night hotel stay)
$ 175 per person (no hotel stay)

Registration includes all classes, conference materials and lunch on Saturday. These prices do not include lodging which is arranged separately. You receive a registration discount if you stay at the conference hotel. The hotel is a separate cost.

How do I make hotel arrangements? |
|
We have negotiated a special rate of $ 119 room per night (not including taxes) at the conference hotel, the Westin in Lombard. After registering for the conference, you will be provided with instructions for making hotel reservations.
We ask that single travelers make their own arrangements for finding roommates. Although, if you have made a reservation and you are unable to find a roommate e-mail the conference registration manager and we will see if we can provide assistance.

Will there be children's ministry available during the conference? |
|

Why is the conference registration higher than at the Boston conference in 2007? |
|
In Boston we were able to charge less for the registration because the room cost was much higher ($200 per night). The total cost for a couple to register and stay two nights in the hotel was 2 x $100 for registration + 2 x $200 for the hotel. This totaled $600 (not including tax).
We structured the price differently so that people traveling in from out of town could get a break on the total costs. In comparison, a couple for this conference would pay 2 x $125 for registration and 2 x $119 for the hotel. This totals $488 (not including tax), a savings of $112 per couple.
The registration fee also includes support to Disciples Today and some food at the conference. These were not included in the 2007 price.

Is my registration refundable? |
|
Due to the financial commitments and small staff for the conference, all registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Which airport should I fly into? |
|
The Westin is right in between the two major Chicago airports. It is 18 miles from O’Hare International Airport and 23 miles from Midway International Airport. For airport information, please click here.

What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel? |
 You are welcome to rent a car, take a cab, or arrange a shuttle pick up from the airport. You will need to call in advance and make a reservation if you plan to use the shuttle pick-up service. For more information regarding shuttle services and fares, please visit Go Airport Express. Once you arrive at the hotel, you will not need to travel unless it is your personal preference.

The leadership workshop begins Thursday night, April 16th at 7 PM at the Westin Hotel. All conference attendees are welcome to attend but the workshop is designed to address specifics about building Youth and Family Ministry in the church.
The general session will begin at 9 AM on Friday, April 17th. We are also offering a morning devotional at 7:30 AM for those interested.
Arrival on Thursday would be best. This way you can attend the leadership workshop and/or be fully rested for the Friday morning general session.

When should I plan on departing? |
The conference will be dismissed at 3 PM Saturday. All conference attendees will be invited to join the Central Ministry Center in Chicago to attend a special Youth and Family worship service on Sunday morning at 10 AM. The service will be done at 12 PM. Flights should be scheduled for 4 PM or later to allow proper time to get to the airport.
